With well over 200 entries received by RTÉ by the closing date of yesterday October 31st, it has shown the interest from songwriters and singers in the open selection.
Now comes the hard task of whittling down the entries to those for a national final.
Artists were asked to submit 6 copies of their song lyrics with their entry – obviously to assist with the song selection process.
Interest to represent Ireland at the 60th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna has been high and seen artists like Nikki Kavanagh, Jedward, Ryan Dolan, Mary Byrne, Girl Band Liir and former X-Factor contestants all express a desire to return/enter the contest.
However we know of some other interesting acts that have also entered songs for Eurosong. Stay tuned for more details.
