As we all know, Bulgaria took their first ever victory at the Eurovision Song Contest, this year held in Vienna , Austria with Dara and her song “Bangaranga”. With the recent news that we are off to Burgas for next year’s contest, we at Eurovision Ireland, decided to create a series to have a look back at Bulgaria’s history at Eurovision and also Junior Eurovision. There’s no doubt that they have brought us some interesting acts over the years they have been in the contest. Today we look at 2010.

2010- Miro -“Angel si Ti

Bulgaria opted to select their artist for 2010 through an internal selection . Miroslav Kostadinov, co-wrote the song “Angel si ti ” and performed it under his stage name , Miro .The song itself was selected via national Final where Miro sang five potential songs and “Angel si ti “was chosen by a public vote .

Unfortunately at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Norway, Miro could only finish 15th out of the 17 countries competing in Semi Final 2 ,therefore once again, meaning that Bulgaria did not qualify for the Grand Final.

Junior Eurovision 2010

Unfortunately, Bulgaria did not participate in the 2010 Junior Eurovision in Minsk , Belarus.
