#BIRTHDAY: 16 June – Johanna Hytti from Finland is 50
Do you love a good sing-song? Or a song where there’s an action you can’t help performing. A nod of the head for a Ukrainian song for example? Or the reflex clap?
In 2010. our friends in Finland sent a song to Oslo that really got the crowd going. And even if you can’t remember the song, you can remember when to clap. It came from the extremely well-scrubbed duo Kuunkuiskaajat, which includes today’s birthday girl Johanna Hytti (née Virtanen). Johanna and her pal Susan Aho. Susan had the accordian. Anyway, despite the best efforts our squeaky clean duo could only manage 11th place. They televoters loved them, but the juries less so. But this song is still a classic. And see if you can’t clap along at the right points. Go on, we dare you.
