The BBC, the British national broadcaster, have confirmed their continued non-participation at the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Ta’ Qali.
The BBC previously took the United Kingdom to the Contest between 2022 & 2023, following ITV’s participation between 2003 & 2005. Henry Graham, Marketing Assistant at BBC Children’s and Education, had the following to say to ESC Spot:
“We would like to inform you that we will not be taking part in this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest; we have not been taking part from 2024 onwards.”
