Interest in the 2014 Swiss Eurovision National Selection keeps gaining momentum. The most interesting point is the international level of interest in representing them at Eurovision 2014. Next up is a British West End singer that we have written about before here at Eurovision Ireland along with an Irish based songwriter and producer.
AJ Lewis, singer, songwriter and musical star from London, has submitted a song for the Swiss National Selection process for Eurovision 2014. AJ has been performing professionally for over ten years and has sung at live events internationally and in Musicals in the West End and all over Europe.
You will certainly have seen him in shows such as Thriller Live, Soul Train, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Dancing in the streets, The Official Tribute to the Blues Brothers, Show Boat, Porgy and Bess and Jerry Springer The Opera. It was during “Jerry Springer the Opera” that I met AJ (as I was also a part of the cast in the production of the show at Ireland’s premier theatre venue “Bord Gais Energy Theatre”). He is an amazing live performer.
Last year AJ presented his song “Life is Magic” for consideration at the Irish National Eurosong Final. “The song was later released as a charity single for selected charities worldwide”.
2014 and AJ “is coming back stronger than ever. His song “Butterflies” is a mid tempo ballad with exceptional vocal range co written and produced by Irish based songwriter/producer Chris Erhardt”. You can see the song on the Swiss SRF platform here
Make sure to listen to AJ’s song! Voting starts November 4th.
