Irish and UK Eurovision hopeful showcases his new work and hopes it could bring him to Eurovision 2015. We have over the past year reported on the efforts of the singer AJ Lewis to get to Eurovision.
He has been considered for the Irish, UK and Swiss National selections for Eurovision over the recent years. In a bid to bring his music and talent to a wider audience he will be performing 2 showcases here in Ireland in June.
The first concert will take place on June 3rd in the ‘Spirit Store’ in Dundalk – See Here
The second concert will take place on June 4th in ‘Monroe’s’ in Galway – See Here
AJ will be known to many people who frequent London’s West End and the Dublin theatre scene. He has been critically acclaimed in many popular theatre productions – ‘Thriller Live’, ‘Soul Train’, ‘Dancing in the Streets’, ‘Jerry Springer Opera’, and ‘Joseph the Amazing Technicolor Coat’ – to name but a few.
AJ is also known as one of the honoured performers who has performed at the famed ‘Royal Albert Hall’ and ‘Royal Festival Hall’ in London. If he kind of looks familiar to you, it is because he was also included in the cast of ‘Don’t Stop Believing Supergroup’ which was aired on Channel 5 in the UK. His last visit to Ireland was in 2011 with the cast of “Thriller Live” and “Jerry Springer The Opera” to the Grand Canal/An Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin.
Critics praised AJ as “the most impressive vocal performer of the show, powering his way through many of Jackson’s biggest numbers.”
His solo act is finally taking him to Ireland in the run up to his single release of “Lost in Wonder”. Later this year AJ Lewis will release his debut album, which is planned to hit stores and download portals in September.
We have seen AJ perform live several times and you will be in for a great show. Check out his music. You will not be disappointed.
