Khabar Agency, the Kazakh national broadcaster, has applied to become a full member of the EBU, the European Broadcasting Union.

From a response to a letter sent to the Kazakh Ministry of Information and Culture, Khabar Agency has applied to become a full member of the EBU and the right to participate in the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, in Burgas. Khabar Agency have been an associate member of the EBU since 2016. The EBU have yet to comment on both the membership application and participation in Burgas.
