For our Summer 2026 feature series, we are celebrating 25 years of Melodifestivalen on tour. We will take a look at the songs that have progressed direct to the final over the past two and a half decades. Today we are looking at the songs that have progressed from Västerås.

2008 – Heat Two

The second heat of 2008 took place at the ABB Arena, in Västerås. Sanna Nielsen took first place (228,746 votes), with “Empty Room”, while Rongedal took second place (162,222 votes), with “Just a Minute”.

2025 – Heat Three

The third heat of 2025 took place at the ABB Arena, in Västerås. Greczula took first place (74 points) and qualified after the first round of voting, with “Believe Me”, while Annika Wickihalder took second place (1,674,729 votes) after the second round of voting, with “Life Again”.
