THEVOICE: Maria Christian appears on The Voice France
The Voice is a worldwide franchise, that has produced more than its fair share of Eurovision performers in its time. But if you were watching the French edition over the weekend, you may have seen Ireland’s very own Maria Christian. Being an Irish girl in France, she sang a song true to her homeland.
You can see her performance HERE.
And who is on the panel? None other than Lara Fabian! Remember her in Dublin in 1988? She obviously has a good ear.
As you’ll know, she sang for Ireland in 1985 when the contest was in Gothenburg. She came sixth with the Brendan Graham composition Wait until the weekend comes.
Maria Christian, now Maria Doyle or Maria Cuche, lives in France and has seven children.
We wish her well in The Voice France.
