
The American Song Contest has been revealed to have a multi-week format and will move around the country. The Contest will now have elements of both Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision Song Contest.
Due to the number of US States, the Contest will move around the USA for the preliminary rounds, before arriving in a final Host City for the final two weeks of the Finals.
Peter Settman from Brain Academy, the Swedish production company who owns the rights to the American Song Contest, has hinted that at least ten US Broadcasters are interested in broadcasting the show – including some major, but unnamed networks.
The American Song Contest is due to begin next year, 2021.
