He’s back – James’ nephew and Eurovision Ireland’s youngest contributor, 6 year-old Jack is taking a look at the rest of the songs taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019! After giving us his thoughts on songs heading to Junior Eurovision in Minsk last year, we were keen to invite Jack back for the adult’s contest to see what he makes of the songs heading to Tel Aviv. He’s already had a listen to the songs taking part in the first half and second half, of Semi Final 1, so now it’s time for the 2nd Semi Final!

As it’s far too early for rehearsal footage and live versions of all songs aren’t readily available yet, Jack watched the official videos of this year’s entries with James. Here are some of his unfiltered observations and comments – if Jack hasn’t reviewed your favourites yet, be patient! He’ll get to the rest of Semi Final 2 soon!

You’d think being the school holidays that Jack would be in a good mood… well… have a look what he had to say!

ARMENIA – WALKING OUT

*raises eyebrows the moment Srbuk starts singing* It’s decent… interesting… but it’s starting to give me a headache!

IRELAND – 22

Her voice… nope… I don’t like it (James pushes for a kinder comment, especially for our Irish readership!!) If I change my mind later, it might be better… but right now I just want to faint…. 0_0 (James is convinced Jack is trying to get him fired!!)

MOLDOVA – STAY

The violin sounds nice (what violin, Jack?!) *taps out the rhythm on his wrist* It’s my favourite so far! I like the echo…

SWITZERLAND – SHE GOT ME

*bops his head in time to the music and starts dancing as the music builds* I really loooooove this one! He’s got a good voice, makes me wanna dance

LATVIA – THAT NIGHT

She’s scary… I don’t like it…. plus she’s scary…

ROMANIA – ON A SUNDAY

*giggles nervously at the horror movie start* I like it! I don’t like the dress, but I do like the design and how she speaks and makes her voice… all the effort it takes!

DENMARK – LOVE IS FOREVER

She looks scary… she started off like this *pulls face*… I think it ruins the song!

SWEDEN – TOO LATE FOR LOVE

*thinks about it* I like the dancing but that’s about it… the dancing is really good!

AUSTRIA – LIMITS

Oh my God! She has blue hair!! I like her hair! (James pushes about the song) I wouldn’t like the song even if it had dinosaurs in it! *thinks about it* or if she was giving away puppies!

So after looking at first songs take part in the 2nd Semi Final, Jack ranks them like this:
