Robin Stjernberg is back. But who is he again I hear you cry? He was the one that sang about you, you and you over there in the corner! Robin won Melodifestivalen back in 2013 and went on to represent Sweden on home soil, in Malmö with the song “You”. He eventually finished 14th with 62 points.
Fast forward three years and several singles (SEE HERE) and Robin is back asking us to “Take Me Home”. This is an upbeat, soulful ballad – a complete contrast to what we heard back in 2013.
As the title suggests, Robin is yearning for someone to take him back home – as if he is somewhere in the present where he shouldn’t be. This is a song about ‘home’ and is something each and everyone of us can relate to. Whether it be about family or the village/town you grew up in, there is something we can all connect with in this song.

For me personally, I am lucky enough to live in the village where my parents live. “Take Me Home”, for me is about joining my parents on a Sunday for our traditional family roast dinner. A time where we all get together and share our news with each other from the past week. As a family man, I can relate quite heavily wanting to be taken home!
I could quite easily see this song in Melodifestivalen and even representing Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest itself!
I give is a rating of 9 out of 10 – I love it!
