IRELAND : Reports that Erika Selin brings Melodifestivlen fan favourites Timoteij for Backing Vocals

Erika Selin is bring out the big guns so it seems for the Irish Eurosong Final this Friday.

It should come as no surprise but her backing singers and band will be Melodifestivalen fan favourites Timoteij. Now one of the composers of Erika’s song ‘Break Me Up’ is Gustav Euren.

Many Eurovision and Melodifestivalen fans will know the name Gustav Euren as he was one of the composers of the fan favourite song in Swedish 2010 national selection ‘Kom’ by Timoteij.

This is a very smart move as Timoteij are known to many Irish Eurovision fans, they are great singers and musicians and they marry Schlager and Irish Music very well indeed.

Good move Erika – Liking your style!

On another positive note Erika’s song ‘Break Me Up’ was played on German TV yesterday. A good omen?

Erika is currently in second place in our International On-Line Poll HERE by only a short percentage!

Smart move by Erika to bring Timoteij to Eurosong?

  1. I hate to admit it, but my beloved Nikki may be in trouble. Im very worried, it’ll be extremely close. Erika may well beat Nikki come Friday…

  2. I think this could potentially hurt Nikki Kavanagh in the voting. Erika and Timoteij are going to look and sound really slick and professional (and they’re experienced performers too). If Nikki and her team are not firing on all cylinders, they could come across as a bit amateurish in comparison, especially in that small studio.
