BELARUS : Over 60 Entries Received and Several Audition Artists Named

MINSK – BELARUS – BelTA/BRTC (National Broadcaster) has confirmed that they have received over 60 entries for their Eurovision 2014 National selection. The official closing date for entries was November 24th but BeITA spokesperson Svetlana Smolonskaya-Kraskovskaya confirmed

“More applications might be received. If an application was sent on 24 November, but arrived on 26 November, it will still be accepted,”  

According to there will be a mixture of old and new faces in the Belarus National selection for Eurovision 2014. Names that they have mentioned are “Nuteki, Alexei Gross, Daria, Natalia Tamelo, Ivan Buslai, Yelena Grishanova, Georgy Koldun, DiDuLa and Max Lorens”.

Nuteki participated in the Belarus National Final this year 2013 with the song “Save Me”

Auditions will take place on November 28th and 29th and 15 Acts will be announced this Friday November 29th. These 15 acts will contest the Grand Final on January 15th.

The jury presiding over the auditions includes the following members

  • Belarus Singers Vasily Rainchik and Alexander Tikhanovich
  • Director of the Shtam dance school Alexander Mezhenny
  • Eurovision 2013 Representative Alyona Lanskaya
  • TV host Mikhail Revutsky and other persons.
  • The jury will be led by Chairman of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company Gennady Davydko.

The Grand Final will take place in January and the winner will be selected by a combination of Jury and Public vote.
