Eurovison Legend Johnny Logan is back in the hunt to make it to the final of another Song Contest – RTE’s “The Hit” in Ireland. Come midnight this Thursday August 15th we will know if he is successful. His new song “Prayin” (composed by Alan Earl) is competing for the highest chat position in the Irish Charts against Duke Special’s “1969” (composed by Aaron Hacket)

How the show works – you can find out more here at the RTE website The Hit

So Where are both songs in the chart?

At Midnight yesterday Johnny Logan’s “Prayin” was at #6 in the overall download chart and is #1 in the Irish Rock download chart

Duke Special’s “1969” is at #11 in the overall download chart and at #7 in the Irish Pop download chart.

To these sales will be added mobile phone downloads on Thursday evening – so this is a close call with Johnny Logan in the lead at present.

Stay tuned for the chart positions tomorrow.
