Earlier today the FYR Macedonian website tvpaket.com.mk claimed that the country was going to declare who was their Eurovision 2014 representative tonight. It now appears that it was merely a platform to suggest an artist for consideration – Nina Janeva.

The website said that as it was the artist’s birthday and they thought it was a good starting point to look for a Eurovision representative who could bring the country to the Grand Final in 2014. According to Nina it is her “greatest desire for her 27th birthday to represent Macedonia at Eurovision 2014”.

Making reference to Finland’s Krista Siegfrids performance at Eurovision this year, Nina is claimed to have said that she has “something better than kissing a girl on stage” to offer – according to tvpaket.com.mk.

Here is a video of Nina from 2003 with a Balkan/Dance track that we rather like – could you see her at Eurovision?

According to the website tvpaket.com.mk it will not be until February before a decision is made on who will represent FYR Macedonia at Eurovision 2014. We have been in contact with the FYR Macedonian Delegation for clarification on the selection process for 2014 and will keep you up to date on the story.

Until then we will enjoy Esma and Lozano’s entry from this year – the English version.

Who do you think should represent FYR Macedonia at Eurovision 2014? We would love to see Esma & Lozano or Lozano on his own back in 2014 as they are both wonderful singers.
