Eurovision 2005 winner Helena Paparizou has come out with her 6th studio album and a kiss with Courtney Parker – fellow Greek singer. Helena is linking the release of her new album “tha prays vgoume Ti” (What Time Did You Leave) with her campaign to support the Gay Pride celebration in Athens.
Her new album is her first since leaving Sony Music and she is now recording under the EMI label. The album contains 15 songs and the first song is the above “Save Me (This is an SOS). The song is an electro/pop song that has Eurovision written all over it. She will be touring the Eurovision and Schlager festivals across Norway and Sweden this summer where she remains very popular.

Paparizou has been photographed kissing fellow singer Courtney Parker to support the LGBT cause against the growing homophobia in Greek society. Pictured above they are on the magazine and website “Lifo”.
Question: Many people were very outspoken about Krista Siegrfids kiss at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest and to quote many of the responses we got here at the site that “It was a Bad Gimmick”, “Attention Seeking” and “Playing to the gay vote”. Now despite Krista having been a long-term supporter of gay rights in Finland and also lending her song to be used by the “Gay Marriage Campaign” – several people still thought it was done for self gain and out of bad taste – a sentiment we find hard to swallow here (pardon the pun). We ask those same people if they see Helena’s kiss in the same “attention seeking light”?
It will be interesting to see if being a Eurovision Winner will make a difference to those readers opinions?
