Eurovision Ireland has been in contact with our friends at the Cypriot Eurovision Delegation regarding their participation in Eurovision 2013 in Malmö. And it is with great pleasure we can reveal that we have been told that Cyprus WILL be in Sweden next year.
As we had reported there were grave concerns that Cyprus could not be in a financial position to attend the contest next year. In now appears that with the local and international success if Ivi Adamou at this year’s contest that the national broadcaster will find the funds to enter.
Our source said that the selection process will more than likely be on a smaller budget to ensure that the Island can then make the trip to Malmö for next year and put on another creative stage performance. This is wonderful news as we had wonderful fun with Ivi and the Cypriot team in Baku – and we want to do it again with them!
In tribute to our Cypriot and fellow Islanders here is “La La Love” for you to enjoy yet again.
