PBS, the Maltese national broadcaster, have revealed the format for The Voice Kids – their national selection for the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Ta’ Qali.
PBS have revealed the format for The Voice Kids 2026, which has been altered since the 2025 edition. The rounds of The Voice Kids 2026 are:
- Blind Auditions – Participants will audition for the three coaches. If only one coach turns around, then the participant automatically joins that coach’s team. If more than one coach turns around, the participant chooses which team they would like to join. If no coaches turn around, then the participant is eliminated.
- Battles – Each coach groups several singers on their team to perform together. Each coach chooses one singer per battle to stay on their team. Each coach may also steal one contestant from another team who did not originally win their battle.
- Sing-Offs – The remaining participants perform solo numbers. Each coach selects two members of their team to advance to the final.
- Final – The six finalists perform their audition song again. Each coach selects one artist to advance to the superfinal. In the superfinal, the three remaining finalists perform a duet with their coach. The winner will be chosen by a jury.
