RTVSLO, the Slovenian national broadcaster, have confirmed their continued non-participation, at the 2027 Eurovision Young Musicians, in Liepāja.

In 2022, RTVSLO withdrew before the Contest in Montpellier, due to financial difficulties. RTVSLO had participated in every Contest between 1994 and 2018 – with participation intended in 2020, before the Contest was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Slovenia took victory in 2010, runner-up in 2014 & 2018 and took third in 2002.
