
For our Summer 2026 feature series, we are celebrating 25 years of Melodifestivalen on tour. We will take a look at the songs that have progressed direct to the final over the past two and a half decades. Today we are looking at the songs that have progressed from Linköping.
2005 – Heat Two
The second heat of 2005 took place at the Cloetta Center, in Linköping. Fredrik & Sanna took first place (103,955 votes), with “Du och jag mot världen”, while Sanne Salomonsen took second place (89,311 votes), with “Higher Ground”.
2008 – Heat Three
The third heat of 2008 took place at the Cloetta Center, in Linköping. BWO took first place (140,517 votes), with “Lay Your Love on Me”, while Frida feat. Headline took second place (68,527 votes), with “Upp o hoppa”.
2011 – Heat Three
The third heat of 2011 took place at the Cloetta Center, in Linköping. Eric Saade took first place (89,175 votes) and qualified after the first round of voting, with “Popular”, while The Playtones took second place (50,090 votes) after the second round of voting, with “The King”.
