This year at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, in Basel, Ireland will be marking 60 years since their first participation. Today we continue with 1990.

1990 – “Somewhere in Europe”

In 1990, when the Contest was held in Zagreb, Yugoslavia, Liam Reilly represented Ireland with “Somewhere in Europe”. Liam finished in 2nd place and 132 points.

1991 – “Could It Be That I’m in Love”

In 1991, when the Contest was held in Rome, Italy, Kim Jackson represented Ireland with “Could It Be That I’m in Love”. Kim finished in 10th place and 47 points.

1992 – “Why Me?”

In 1992, when the Contest was held in Malmo, Sweden, Linda Martin represented Ireland with “Why Me?”. Linda finished in 1st place and 155 points.

1993 – “In Your Eyes”

In 1993, when the Contest was held in Millstreet, Ireland, Niamh Kavanagh represented Ireland with “In Your Eyes”. Niamh finished in 1st place and 187 points.

1994 – “Rock ‘n’ Roll Kids”

In 1994, when the Contest was held in Dublin, Ireland, Paul Harrington & Charlie McGettigan represented Ireland with “Rock ‘n’ Roll Kids”. Paul & Charlie finished in 1st place and 226 points.

1995 – “Dreamin’”

In 1995, when the Contest was held in Dublin, Ireland, Eddie Friel represented Ireland with “Dreamin’”. Eddie finished in 14th place and 44 points.
