Around 130 song submissions have been made for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest Israeli entry. However, song submissions are down by 90, compared to 2021.

Eight songs will be chosen by a committee and will be performed by the finalists in The X Factor Israel. After the Semi Final is broadcast on Channel 13, a special second Semi Final will follow on KAN 11. The four semi-finalists will perform two songs each, before they qualify for the Final with one song. The X Factor Israel Final will be broadcast on Reshet 13.
