Yes, we know many of you suspected this is where we were heading, but today it’s been officially confirmed by the EBU that the gorgeous seaside city of Tel Aviv in Israel will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2019!
Interestingly, some of you might remember that Tel Aviv originally said they weren’t looking to host the contest – have a look HERE to see that story from May.
The contest is set to be held at the Tel Aviv Convention Centre, with the 1st Semi Final taking place on May 14th, the 2nd Semi Final on May 16th and the Grand Final on May 18th.
So far, 25 countries have confirmed their participation, though this number is expected to climb higher – with rumours rife that Kosovo or Kazakhstan may be heading for a debut. Exciting stuff!
So that just leaves us with one question here at Eurovision Ireland – how do we contact Nadav Guedj to get that tour he promised us back in 2015?! 😉
