Celine Dion is back. Following her ‘Icon Award’ and performance at last night’s Billboard Music Awards where she wowed the audience with ‘The Show Must Go On’.
Now the global superstar has just released a new song ‘Encore Un Soir/ One More Evening’ and she has said that her late husband René had heard the song before he died earlier this year.
This is classic Dion and the French lyrics translated are as follows
“A Picture, a date,
It’s not to believe
It was yet yesterday,
Lie my memory
And these faces of children,
And mine in this mirror
Oh, it’s not for me to complain,
It you have nothing to fear
Life got me so spoiled
I rather hard to turn it off
Oh, my God I’ve had my share
And much more in so many ways
But when you live too beautiful too strong
We forget the time that passes
As we lose a bit of the north
In the middle of too vast spaces
Barely time to get used to it
Barely we must leave the place
Oh, if I could
One more night, one more hour
Still a tear of happiness
A favor, like a flower
A breath, a mistake
A bit of us
A none of
To tell each other anything yet
Or shut up in eyes
Just a postponement
Barely still
Even if it’s late
I’ve never asked for anything
This is not the sea to drink!
Come on! In the face of eternity,
It won’t even see each other
This stays between us…
Oh, just a slight delay
There’s so much that kill the time
So long and so much that they lose or pass
So much that they lie and inventing the dreams
In moments of grace
Oh, I give my place in heaven
If we forget about me on earth
Yesterday
One more night, one more hour
Still a tear of happiness
A favor, like a flower, a breath, a mistake
A bit of us, a none of
To tell each other everything still or be quiet in eyes
Just a postponement barely still
I know it’s late
It’s not much, just a break
That time, the clocks are resting
And caress just a kiss, a kiss
One more night, one more hour
A bit of us, a none of
One night”
