Eurovision 2016

ROMANIA – Vanotek is “Coming Home” for Eurovision – The Interview

vanotek

Continuing the series of interviews with the Romanian semi finalists, today we had the pleasure of talking to Vanotek, another public favourite. Here is what the guys told us!

Hello, can you introduce yourself to our readers?

Hello, I’m Vanotek, I’m a producer who has previously worked with a lot of artists from Romania such as Corina, Dan Balan, Sasha Lopez, Yanka and had my project Havana with songs promoted and licensed abroad.

Also with my project Vanotek, I released songs such as “My Heart is Gone” and now “I’m Coming Home”, well-received by the public. For this song, I teamed up with The Code for production and Georgian for vocals.

Can you tell us how this song came to be?

Working a lot in the studio with The Code and wishing to have a special cool song.

Do you have any favourite song from past editions of Eurovision?

Not really, we can’t say we’ve been into this contest and following it religiously. But we really appreciate the competition, its impact.

What made you subscribe this song to Selectia Nationala?

We entered the competition just because we had a lot of messages and comments from people in Romania and abroad asking us to be part of Eurovision, so here we are.

Do you have a message for our readers and your fans?

Thanks everyone for the support, we really hope we can represent Romania properly and be on stage in Stockholm with a cool show! Vote for Vanotek, The Code and Georgian for Eurovision #ImComingHome.

Thank you and good luck!

The Romanian Selection Event’s Semi Final will be this friday on March 4th, where 12 acts will compete for a chance to be in the top 6 and progress to the final on March 6th.

Do you like “I’m Coming Home”? Do you think  it can win Romania’s Final or even the whole competition in Stockholm? Let us know in a comment below!
