Italy will revert to the prestigious Sanremo Music Festival in the hope of finding their Eurovision 2015 representative.  The winner of the Campioni Categeory will be eligible to represent Italy in Vienna 2015 should they wish. RAI (Italian National Broadcaster) have announced the details of the 2015 Sanremo Festival with some changes.

16 acts will battle to win the 2015 Festival Della Canzone di Sanremo- Campioni Category. The artists will present their entries on Friday 13th of February. 12 lucky acts will qualify for the Saturday night Grand Final. The winner is selected via televoting/expert jury and poll decision. The Winner will have the decision if they would like to represent Italy at Eurovision 2015.

Changes this year at the Festival as artists in the Campioni category will perform 1 song as opposed to 2 like in previous years.

The Sanremo Schedule

February 10th – Sanremo Show 1
February 11th – Sanremo Show 2
February 12th – Sanremo  Show 3
February 13th – Sanremo Show 4 (Semifinal of Campioni Category – 16 acts)
February 14th – Sanremo Show 5 (Grand final of Sanremo 2015 – 12 acts)

Your host will be Italy’s finest Carlo Conti. The shows will be aired live on Rai 1, Rai HD, Rai Radio 1 and Rai Radio 2.
