Eurovision 2015 – When and Where? That is the questions that fans of the contest have been asking for some time now.
Back in March it was announced by the EBU that the ‘Provisional Dates’ for the Eurovision 2015 contest were May 12th, 14th and 16th.
At the end of May this year there was a post on ORF’s (Austria’s National Broadcaster) website that they were considering other possible dates for Eurovision 2015 – May 19th, 21st and 23rd.
The dates are still to be signed off by both the EBU and ORF.
As for where the contest will be held? There are 3 Austrian cities in contention to host the 60th anniversary Eurovision contest and their teams have met with ORF over the last few days according to Alexander Wrabetz, General Director of ORF.
According to Eurovision.tv Mr Wrabetz said
“The discussions with the candidates in the last few days have been very constructive,” and “We are still on schedule.”
The three cities in contention are Graz, Innsbruck and Vienna and a decision is expected to be made in late July/ early August.
So what city would you like to see host Eurovision 2015?
Not long to wait until you know where you are going to be watching Eurovision from next year.
