Hi guys its lottery time again #joinus join us to find out which half of the Final each of the Semi Final 2 qualifiers will perform in. They will draw this at the Semi Final winners press conference. Keep REFRESHING to get updates.

A few quick observations.

4 qualified from the first half and 5 from the second half, Finland were the 10th country who sang bang in the middle.

The 2 countries with 100% records left tonight with them intact. Greece and Romania.

8 of the countries who qualified had mid to uptempo songs and only 2 were ballads,

This time round the 2 songs after the break both qualified.

Malta

Qualified. Malta draw the second half in the Final.

Israel

Failed to Qualify

Norway

Qualified. Norway drew the first half in the Final.

Georgia

Failed to Qualify

Poland

Qualified. Poland draw the first half in the Final.

Austria

Qualified. Austria draw the first half in the Final.

Lithuania

Failed to Qualify

Finland

Qualified. Finland draw the second half in the Final.

Ireland

Failed to Qualify

Belarus

Qualified. Belarus draw the first half in the Final.

FYR Macedonia

Qualified. Switzerland draw the second half in the Final.

Qualified. Greece draw the first half in the Final.

Slovenia

Qualified. Slovenia draw the second half in the Final.

Romania

Qualified. Romania drew the first half in the Final.

  1. I don’t like the Polish song, but can see/hear why others like it.
    I didn’t like song for Belarus before, but he won me over on the night. I think the right 10 songs qualified. Austria (wow!) was the stand out, but thoroughly enjoyed Malta, & Switzerland too.

    We (Ireland) didn’t get through and I’m not surprised. I was more impressed more by every other country in our semi. Only Georgia had worse staging, but I can’t knock the voice of their singer. If we came 15th, it’s all we deserved. The staging, the performance, the frock, the dancers – all so wrong.
    I like the song on cd, but never live. Kasey was flat when she did Kiss Me in the previous selection so I can’t understand why she was Hazels first choice of singer for this yr. If Hazel was gonna choose a former eurosong hopeful, why not go for Una Gibney or Nikki Kavanagh or Aimee (can’t think of her last name) ?!
