NRK – Norwegian Broadcaster – have confirmed that they will be reducing the numbers of songs competing in their National Selection process for Eurovision 2014.

Last month it was suspected that they would hold a single Grad Final for 2014, but this now seems not to be the case. There will now be three semi-finals that will all be held in the Oslo Spektrum according to ESC Nation, culminating in a Grand Final.

According to a report in newspaper VG, the Norwegian National Selection will see fifteen songs participate in the contest – with 3 semi finals of 5 songs. The Top 3 going through from each heat to the final. Taking a leaf from previous Spanish National selections – An internet vote will be conducted to select some of the fifteen songs, with the others being chosen internally by NRK.

More details will be released by NRK in the coming weeks.

Can Norway go higher than their 4th place this year with Margaret Berger’s “I Feed you My Love”?
