We got it right – Farid Mammadov will represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2013 with the song “Hold Me”. The mid tempo ballad won the right to represent Azerbaijan in Sweden this May.
He was among the favorites and won the 10 act final. With no Turkey at Eurovision we are expecting him to pick up the Turkish diaspora but it is a strong mid tempo ballad and the first time that Azerbaijan will send a solo male singer to the contest. Azerbaijan has never failed to make the Grand Final at Eurovision. Can Farid maintain that record?

I’m excited for Azerbaijan to be represented by such a talented and attractive guy! He’ll be one of the best in the finals, I’m sure.
We think there is a good chance that we could be back in Baku in 2014 Shura. Farid was our favourite during the weeks of semi finals. He is a great singer
Very strong entry! I would be shocked if it won’t be in the top 3!
Very strong song hope they will leave it fairly simple and let him belt it out defo finalist!
I think they will Sean. Like in most years they will now work on his presentation and diction but the guy can sing. This has a very strong channce
