Iceland’s search for their first Eurovision Win begins tonight. The first semifinal of “Söngvakeppnin Sjónvarpsins” takes place with the second tomorrow. Six acts compete tonight where a 50/50  jury/public vote will decide which 3 acts will progress to the final. 

  1. Magni Ásgeirsson – Ekki Líta Undan (Composer: Sveinn Rúnar Sigurðsson Lyrics: Ingibjörg Gunnarsdóttir)
  2. Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson – Ég á Líf (Composers & Lyrics : Örlygur Smári and Pétur Örn Guðmundsson)
  3. Svavar Knútur Kristinsson and Hreindís Ylva Garðarsdóttir Hólm – Lífið Snýst (Composer: Hallgrímur Óskarsson Lyrics: Hallgrímur Óskarsson and Svavar Knútur Kristinsson)
  4. Birgitta Haukdal – Meðal Andanna (Composers: Birgitta Haukdal, Sylvía Haukdal Brynjarsdóttir and Jonas Gladnikoff Lyrics: Birgitta Haukdal, Sylvía Haukdal Brynjarsdóttir, Michael James Down and Primoz Poglajen)
  5. Edda Viðarsdóttir – Sá sem Lætur Hjartað Ráða För (Composer: Þórir Úlfarsson Lyrics: Kristján Hreinsson)
  6. Jóhanna Guðrún Jónsdóttir (Yohanna) – Þú (Composer and Lyrics: Davíð Sigurgeirsson)

The contest will be hosted by Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir and Þórhallur Gunnarsson.

The show starts at 21:00 CET
