It is very gracious to see that NDR in Germany are reading “Eurovision Ireland” and have reviewed some of the findings that we discovered about their entrants in their National Selection. The big bews is that “The Priests” are changing their song for the German National Selection.

We had reported there were several similarities between Die Priester feat. Mojca Erdmann and their song ” Ave Maris Stella”  and several religious songs from the 16th and 19th Centuries – see our article below. According to the linked report from Blog.prinze.de –  it has been decided that “Die Priester ” will now change their entry. It is not confirmed as of yet if Mojca Erdmann will perform with them.

So we will not be seeing this song from Die Priester at the national final – which is a a shame as it would have been a breath of fresh air for Eurovision

Now when it comes to Mobilee and their song “Little Sister”, it seems that the issue of them performing their song on-line back in April/May/June time has been referred to  Eurovision Reference Committee – according to the below German Report

It was recognised that what we at Eurovision Ireland had found on-line was correct and that “Little Sister” had been performed before September 1st. However it was deemed that due to the very low views of the song on-line that no competitive advantage was afforded to Mobilee and their entry. Furthermore the article claims that the “Eurovision published rules need to be realistic” and understand that the contest must continue to attract new performers hence we will see Mobilee and their song “Little Sister” at the German National Final – Phew.

So here you have it – Mobilee will be in the German National Final with “Little Sister” – which is an infectious song that I can’t get out of my head! What do you think on this ruling?
