TG4, the Irish-language national broadcaster, have confirmed that they will not take on the Irish participation, at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, in Burgas.

In communication with Éirevision, the Irish Eurovision podcast, TG4 does not intend to use its status as an EBU full member, to participate at the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, in Burgas – without giving a reason. TG4 became a full EBU member in 2007, although RTÉ has priority participation, due to their national presence – like the BBC over S4C in the United Kingdom.
