For our Summer 2026 feature series, we are celebrating 25 years of Melodifestivalen on tour. We will take a look at the songs that have progressed direct to the final over the past two and a half decades. Today we are looking at the songs that have progressed from Malmö.

2014 – Heat One

The first heat of 2014 took place at the Malmö Arena, in Malmö. Yohio took first place (117,219 votes), with “To the End”, while Ellen Benediktson took second place (99,444 votes), with “Songbird”.

2015 – Heat Two

The second heat of 2015 took place at the Malmö Arena, in Malmö. Marette took first place (501,127 votes), with “Don’t Stop Believing”, while Magnus Carlsson took second place (475,617 votes), with “Möt mig i Gamla stan”.

2016 – Heat Two

The second heat of 2016 took place at the Malmö Arena, in Malmö. Wiktoria took first place (924,003 votes), with “Save Me”, while David Lindgren took second place (872,272 votes), with “We Are Your Tomorrow”.
