For our Summer 2026 feature series, we are celebrating 25 years of Melodifestivalen on tour. We will take a look at the songs that have progressed direct to the final over the past two and a half decades. Today we are looking at the songs that have progressed from Sundsvall.

2002 – Heat Three

The third heat of 2002 took place at Nordichallen, in Sundsvall. Östen med Resten took first place (80,123 votes), with “Hon kommer med solsken”, while Hanna & Lina Hedlund took second place (44,914 votes), with “Big Time Party”.

2003 – Heat Four

The fourth heat of 2003 took place at Nordichallen, in Sundsvall. Östen med Resten took first place (86,354 votes), with “Maria”, while Afro-dite took second place (51,378 votes), with “Aqua Playa”.

2026 – Heat Five

The fifth heat of 2026 took place at the Gärdehov Arena, in Sundsvall. Lilla Al-Fadji took first place (1,099,787 votes) and qualified after the first round of voting, with “Delulu”, while Sanna Nielsen took second place (1,580,876 votes) after the second round of voting, with “Waste Your Love”.
