
For our Summer 2026 feature series, we are celebrating 25 years of Melodifestivalen on tour. We will take a look at the songs that have progressed direct to the final over the past two and a half decades. Today we are looking at the songs that have progressed from Växjö.
2002 – Heat One
The first heat of 2002 took place at the Tipshallen, in Växjö. Brandsta City Släckers took first place (130,201 votes), with “Kom och ta mig”, while Méndez took second place (98,363 votes), with “Adrenaline”.
2005 – Heat Four
The fourth heat of 2005 took place at the Tipshallen, in Växjö. Nanne Grönvall took first place (121,602 votes), with “Håll om mig”, while Caroline Wennergren took second place (93,120 votes), with “A Different Kind of Love”.
2012 – Heat One
The first heat of 2012 took place at the VIDA Arena, in Växjö. Loreen took first place (160,351 votes), with “Euphoria”, while Dead by April took second place (98,519 votes), with “Mystery”.
