
The City of Vienna had to evacuate the Eurovision Village yesterday – one of the many fan zones for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, in Vienna.
Due to the adverse weather conditions here in Vienna yesterday, the City of Vienna made the decision on safety grounds, to evacuate the Eurovision Village. Any other activities/performances that were scheduled for yesterday, were subsequently cancelled.
This also affected ORF’s (the Austrian national broadcaster) outside studio. Live broadcasts were suspended and ORF provided alternative programming in its place.
