The Junior Eurovision Song Contest Steering Group had been updated ahead of the 2023 Contest in FEBRUARY, however a further change has been made. The suspended Russian member Ekaterina Orlova, has been replaced by the British Melissa Hardinge. The current Steering Group consists of the following members:
- EBU: Martin Österdahl – EBU Executive Supervisor
- Poland (TVP): Marta Piekarska – Chair of the Steering Group
- France (France TV): Alexandra Redde – Organiser in 2021 & 2023
- Armenia (AMPTV): David Tserunyan – Organiser in 2022
- Italy (Rai): Mariangela Borneo
- Netherlands (AVROTROS): Anja Zegwaard
- Portugal (RTP): Carla Bugalho
- United Kingdom (BBC): Melissa Hardinge
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest Steering Group has the following purpose:
- Secure the format of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
- Modernise the brand and raising the awareness of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
- Overlook the yearly preparation by the Host Broadcaster
