Which country would you like to see win for the first time? For many years, it was probably Portugal, but now the field could be wide open. For somewhere a bit ‘exotic’, you may want our friends in Armenia to win.

Yes, it would mean a very late start for the show in Yerevan, but as with a previous contest in the Caucasus, it would be a contest to remember. In 2017, Hayastan sent today’s birthday girl Արծվիկ Հարությունյան/Artsvik Harutyunyan. She made the relatively short trip to Kyiv, and had a kickass stage show with hand movements aplenty. She safely made the final, but perhaps an early draw scuppered her chances. So we’re still awaiting that next Caucasus contest. Would you go if Armenia won?
