RTP, the Portuguese national broadcaster, have announced the representative for the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in Yerevan, Armenia.

Nicolas Alves will represent Portugal and was the runner up in this year’s Portuguese version of The Voice Kids. Maria Gil, the winner of The Voice Kids, turns 15 before the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in December, therefore preventing her from participating in Yerevan.
