Norway’s Håvard Gryting and Fernandes Lopes from Portugal couldn’t quite make the jump, and always stood in the shadows. Which brings us onto today’s birthday girl. Bettina Soriat started off as a very animated backing singer to George Nussbaumer. The following year, she got the gig and was again very animated. Animation wasn’t quite what the people of Europe were looking for that year. She finished 21st out of 25.
