#ARMENIA: Srbuk to sing at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest
Public Television of Armenia has revealed the first confirmed performer at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Israel. Srbuk will be carrying her country’s hopes.
Srbuk, or Սրբուհի Սարգսյան/Srbuhi Sargsyan was born in 1994 in Yerevan. She took part in the first Armenian series of the X Factor in 2010-11, finishing as runner-up. She also took part in the Ukrainian series of The Voice in 2018, finishing fourth.
Over the last few years, Srbuk has also released a few singles, both as a soloist and in collaboration with other acts. Here’s her solo hit Եթե Կարող Ես/Yete karogh es, from 2016.
Armenia will select its song internally.
For Lisbon, Armenian selected Qami performed by Sevak through a public selection. He failed to make the Grand Final.
We wish Armenian well in 2019.
