Earlier today, Croatian broadcaster HRT revealed that Franka Batelić will sing for the country in Lisbon this May!
Franka, who is a popular singer in Croatia having released twelve songs herself and featured as a guest on a further 3, will sing the song “Crazy” for Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. She wrote the lyrics herself, while Branimir Mihaljević composed the music. The song will premier later today on HR 2 Radio show Drugi dio dana around 14:00 CET – We can’t wait!
Tomislav Štengl, the manager of HRT’s Eurovision team told eurosong.hr:
“We believe that this year will continue a successful run of HRT and the Republic of Croatia at Eurovision. After Nina Kraljic, who made the Eurovision final in 2016 and Jacques Houdek’s excellent performance last year, we believe that Franka Batelić will achieve our main goal – a place in the final and to represent us in the best way in Lisbon,”
You may remember we wrote at the beginning of the year about Croatia’s potential Eurovision candidates and Franka was indeed on the list!
