Stockholm is the venue for Eurovision 2016 and today the 43 countries began their journey (aka Marathon) for glory in May as the draw took place today for the Semi Final allocation.
This is a ROLLING BLOG beginning at 11:15CET and you can WATCH HERE. You know the drill, just refresh the page for the results of the draw as they happen. So you can sneak a look at our page while you pretend to be working behind your computer in the office or driving that bus (well strike that one!) – so as the countries learn their fate we will update what semi-final they are performing in plus what half of the draw they will perform in.
When all the songs are submitted to the EBU then SVT will create a running order for the show that will highlight the uniqueness of each entry. Still who wants to perform 2nd!!

So there you have it. There are the countries separated into their semi finals and into what half of the semi final they will compete in. The exact running order will be decided by the producers once all the songs have been performed.

Is this the first time the producers will decide the exact order of performance? Surely it was always decided by draw??
No Dave – the producers have been deciding this for some years now. Only the Semi Final and the half of the Semi final are left up to chance. In the Grand final it is again only a draw for First and second half of the draw
Ireland has no chance in there group The Countries are against them as they all vote for each other
You really think that Michael? The jury vote is set up to give a professional 50% to the vote
