ABBA : The Reunion in Photos & Video, The New Musical and The Eurovision Speculation

Reunion

Mama Mia! Forget about Kim Kardashian breaking the internet ABBA are well capable of doing that and with a lot more style! Reunion rumors stormed the interner!

Last night saw the 4 band members together on the red carpet at the same time not since 2008 at the London and Stockholm premier of ‘Mama Mia’.

Björn Ulvaeus’ latest business venture in Stockholm – a Greek taverna modelled on the Mamma Mia! musical and movie opened its doors to a select 130 and lucky number of people.

At 7pm Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad (known as Frida), Agnetha Fältskog and Ulvaeus all walked down the red carpet on their own but did eventually give the world that photo that we were all waiting for! The Group Selfie!

And then here is the video of the decade!

What was the party like inside the taverna?

Ulvaeus spoke that his new show will have different characters from those in ‘Mama Mia’ yet they will perform ABBA songs in English and some different to those in Mama Mia. He added that that a version entirely in English is being developed for Eurovision Song Contest week in May as well as the summer months when tourists will be flocking to Stockholm.

Asked if the group would reunite for another event he said it was ‘highly unlikely’ but he said that before and here we are again at another ABBA reunion!

So let’s put the musical reunion to one side. What local media in Sweden is speculating is that there could be a possibility that the band may reunite to award the points of the Swedish Jury in Stockholm at Eurovision. Could you imagine the meltdown that would bring to the audience in the Globen and around the world. It would certainly be a ratings winner for the contest!

So watch this space!

Should ABBA ever perform again or would that ruin that perfect image for us all? Should they announce the results of the Swedish vote at Eurovision – and let them call all 12 points out! – or should they keep us guessing for years to come?

What would you like to see happen?
