Last night was the official Opening Ceremony of Junior Eurovision 2014 and it was a red carpet event that would have made Joan Rivers proud. Hosted in the Maltese President’s Summer Residence and I was witness to one of the most #Amazing ‘Dance-Off’s’ in history. Forget your Glee and Forget your High School Musical – what I witnessed between Armenia and Georgia had it all going down! (I’m trying to keep it cool with kids – I’m fooling myself)
We were taken up to the most amazing castle overlooking the sea and one vibrant red carpet where all the acts came and were interviewed. Inside the ceremony the official welcome was extended to the participants and the draw for the running order for the show was determined.
Now of course there were light refreshments (and something with a kick for the adults). When you are being served in such palatial surroundings you really need to be professional and respect your surroundings – that is why we went on a sneaky tour of the residence.
So me and Daddy Roy from Eurovision Apocalypse went on a scouting mission.
Where does a president host her ‘Candlelight Suppers’?
Where does one have their national dance-offs.
The Junior Eurovision Club opened last night – I know what games I’m asking Santa for this year.
Stay Tuned for more news!
