Yet another Award for Conchita Wurst to hold aloft as last night she was the recipient of the ‘Moment of the Year’ Award from Attitude magazine.
The LGBT Magazine held their annual awards ceremony in London last night and at the star-studded event Eurovision’s Conchita Wurst won the accolade for ‘Moment of the Year’.
The award was in celebration of her triumph at the Eurovision song contest and her message of tolerance and being ‘Unstoppable’ that caught the attention of the judges.
The Attitude site said
“Conchita Wurst won the annual singing competition with Rise Like a Phoenix, in a moment that was heralded as a sign of international solidarity for the LGBT community.”
Conchita was presented with her award by Celebrity Chef Nigella Lawson. The awards ceremony was held in the Banqueting House in Whitehall, London and hosted by Scissor Sisters star Ana Matronic.
Conchita opened the show with her performance of ‘Rise Like A Phoenix’ and here is a very short instagram clip
I believe that Conchita will soon need a bigger trophy cabinet for all her awards and we haven’t even gotten to the Grammy Awards yet!
