Is it set to be another classic ‘Greek Eurovision Tragedy? Well if you look at the definition of a ‘Greek Tragedy’ you find the following and how times have not really changed since the 5th Century BC – “Tragic plots were most often based upon myths from the oral traditions of archaic epics”
So let’s have a quick summary of the rumours
It was said by some News agencies in Greece that NERIT (New Greek National Broadcaster) were “blocked” from entering the Eurovision Song Contest and the EBU. Therefore they claimed that Greece would not be at Eurovision 2015.
So the FACTS
NERIT indeed are not yet fully approved EBU members however the broadcaster has submitted their application documentation to the EBU for approval. The EBU’s General Assembly will meet in early December where they will review (amongst other business) pending EBU membership applications – including that of NERIT.
So the EBU has NOT blocked NERIT from becoming an EBU member. In December their application will be reviewed. Creating a new national broadcaster does not happen overnight so ‘Rise Up’ above the speculation and let’s not try to write another ‘Greek Eurovision Tragedy’.

The title of this article is tragic, not the rumours about the participation of Greece! Choose better titles and stop being so pompous
