The Dutch city of Aalsmeer will host two semi-finals on Friday 13 and Friday 20 September, with the final on Friday 27 September. Each semi-final will consist of four songs, with two from each automatically making it through to the final. A further ‘wild card’ entry will be selected from the unlucky four non-qualifiers. A 50/50 mix of televoting and jury will determine the finalists and winner.
Broadcaster AVROTROS has also announced that a CD of the eight songs will go on sale from Friday 22 August. Tickets are also on sale for the three televised shows.
The eight songs are:
Semi-final 1
Bobby & Ella – ‘Hard to explain’
Chelsea – ‘Waarom’
Sem – ‘Jij staat op nummer 1’
Suze – ‘Holiday’
Semi-final 2
Anne & Anique – ‘Dromen’
Beau – ‘De wind’
Julia – ‘Around’
Sebastiaan – ‘2gether we are one’
The Netherlands has participated in every Junior Eurovision, and has won once – in 2009. Ralf Mackenbach won in Kyiv with the song ‘Click clack’.
